I love shopping but I tend to have big problems when it comes to remembering people's birthdays and other special events. Even if I do remember them, I usually don't have the time to go in and get them something. When I'm fortunate enough to remember the event and have the time to get something, I hit another wall... what to get as a present!

Likewise at work, I never knew what to say when a colleague is leaving and we all ask what we should get as a going-away gift... Vouchers just don't do it for me but finding the right gift or idea is almost impossible for most people.

My own Godson, Jordan, has probably had the worse side effects from my lazy and goldfish-like memory when it comes to birthdays. I normally remember his birthday about three weeks after it has passed, by which time I'm too embarrassed to do anything about it...

Wouldn't it be a great idea to have something that not only reminds you of upcoming special events, but also suggests gifts to get and then takes care of wrapping it up, adding a personalised card and even delivering it out?!

The idea for Pressieport was born and here we are! We have made huge efforts to find, not only the best gifts, but also the most original ones. Some you may have seen before, some you may not. Likewise the site and everything about it has been designed with one thing in mind - to make your shopping fun and easy! To adapt a famous line from Dolly Parton for my own use, it was very complicated to make this site look so simple! (Her words were different but you get the idea.....)

Pressieport is 100% Irish and was launched in June 2007. We do not have a physical shop as of yet and we operate from our office and warehouse in Dublin 12. From here, we deliver to our customers around Ireland and internationally with one of the fastest delivery services you can get. We'll normally have your order out to you within the next business day, no matter where you are in Ireland. On top of that, we offer a gift-wrapping service along with personalised greeting cards and/or gift tags to go with your gift.

Because we understand that not everyone lives on the web or likes using the web, we are always delighted to take orders and calls over the phone, by e-mail or face to face with any of our customers. If you have a special request that you need us to look after, then just give us a shout - that's what we're here for!
